Community Connect concession

Community Connect concession

From 1 July 2023, eligible customers can get a 50% discount on bus services

You can apply for the discount if you have a current Community Services Card issued by the Ministry of Social Development (MSD). You will need to provide your MSD client number and date of birth, which is verified during the application process and the concession is loaded to a registered Bee Card.

If you already receive discounted travel, especially SuperGold, Accessibility and Tertiary concession holders, please check which concession is best for you. Only one concession per card is possible.

Option 1

Get the Community Connect concession on your existing Bee Card. This will immediately replace your current concession but please note the Community Connect concession will be applied from the 1 July onwards.

Option 2

Apply for a new Bee Card with the Community Connect concession and manage two cards. Once your new card arrives, you can keep using your old card, including any concessions.
