Schoolhopper Colouring Contest

Celebrate the beginning of the school year in Tauranga with Schoolhopper buses and Bay of Plenty Regional Council.

Get creative in the Schoolhopper colouring contest and be in to win great prizes like scooters, bikes and skateboards.

There will be prizes for best entries per age-group and all entries go in the draw for lucky spot prizes.

Traveling to school by bus provides a great alternative to the daily drop off in our increasingly busy city and at just $1.60 per-trip with a Smartride card is often cheaper and more convenient than filling up the car and spending time waiting in traffic.  The Schoolhopper bus service is for students only and travels to seventeen different schools throughout the Tauranga area.

More and more students are using the fourteen different public Bayhopper bus routes to get to school now too. Bayhopper can be especially handy for high school students who need flexibility and independence in travel arrangements for things like after school sport training, music lessons or other extracurricular activities.
