What does a Smartride card do?

• Save 20% on your BayHopper fare. Smartride is a smart card that saves you 20% on a standard fare. Each time you board, your fare will be electronically deducted from the cash value loaded on your card. Simple!

• Onboard any Tauranga Bay Hopper bus. Just ask your driver. Call 0800 422928 for other outlets.

What will the Smartride card cost me?

• The card costs $10, which includes $10 of credit. The card is yours to keep.

Who else can use my Smartride card?

• Anyone that you allow.

How do I 'top up' my Smartride card?

• Ask the driver when you board. Minimum 'top-up' is $10.00.

What happens if I lose my Smartride card?

• The card is your responsibility. Call 0800 422928 immediately and this may help you get the card back.

Take care of your Smartride card

• Your card needs to be looked after like any other electronic card. Please do not bend, scratch, hole punch or physically damage the card in anyway, as this will stop the card from functioning and you'll need to purchase a replacement card.
